I don’t think there is a government in this world that does not declare that Education is a priority objective on its agenda. But as much I think this remains only declarative stage for many of these governments. I didn’t propose to analyze the reasons why governments do not do what they said. However, I will briefly talk about education providers.
Certainly no educational organization can guarantee spectacular results in a very short time, but they can stimulate learning for their learners.
The new international standard ISO 21001:2018 Educational organizations — Management systems for educational organizations — Requirements with guidance for use is an excellent tool to support educational providers.
ISO 21001:2018 specifies requirements for a management system for educational organizations (EOMS) when such an organization:
a) needs to demonstrate its ability to support the acquisition and development of competence through teaching, learning or research;
b) aims to enhance satisfaction of learners, other beneficiaries and staff through the effective application of its EOMS, including processes for improvement of the system and assurance of conformity to the requirements of learners and other beneficiaries.
The training departments of all types of organizations can implement the information and guidance in the annexes of the standard, and Annex A, in an exceptional way, “points out additional requirements for early childhood education”.
If the standard is implemented, and complemented with best practices in the field of education, it will help organizations yield positive results for its beneficiaries – be it students, parents, community, and/or others. (Ermal Hoxha- PECB)
