Where Security Meets Real-World Practice

Security, Standards, and Systems, Designed to Work in the Real World

I’m Ion Iordache, Security Consultant for ISO Systems, Trainer & Author, specializing in CPTED, AI-enabled physical security, and standards-based system design.

A Bit About Me

A Practical Mindset, Built Across Systems and Continents

I was born in Romania and over the years my work has taken me across different countries, industries, and types of organizations. What I’ve learned along the way is simple: no two environments are the same, and what works in theory doesn’t always hold up in practice.

These days, I work with teams wherever they are. Distance isn’t really a barrier anymore. What matters is understanding the context and building something that actually fits.

Who I Am

How I Usually Approach Things

I Start With Questions, Not Assumptions

There’s a quote from Peter F. Drucker that stuck with me early on: ‘My greatest strength as a consultant is to be ignorant and ask a few questions.’ That’s still how I like to start. Not with assumptions or ready-made answers, but with curiosity, listening, and figuring out what’s really going on before suggesting anything.

It tends to lead to better, more grounded solutions.

Here’s How I Think

Advisory & Consulting

ISO Systems, Security Frameworks, and Real-World Compliance

Through iQuality Services, I support organizations in designing, documenting, and implementing management systems that meet international standards, and actually work in practice. From ISO-based systems to GDPR and security frameworks, the focus is always the same: keep things clear, practical, and aligned with how your organization really operates.

The goal is always the same. Build systems that work in reality, not just on paper.

Learn how to audit, understand, and apply systems, not just talk about them

Some of the work I do naturally extends into training. One of the core programs I deliver is focused on internal auditing based on ISO 19011:2018, a practical framework used to evaluate management systems across standards like ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and more. These sessions are designed so that even if you’re new to auditing, you can understand the process, apply it, and walk away with real, usable skills. More importantly, participants don’t just attend, they leave with the ability to conduct audits with confidence, and in many cases, with certification to support that. It’s less about theory, and more about knowing what to do when you’re actually in the audit.

What Working Together Looks Like

I Try To Keep Things Straightforward

Understand first. Simplify where possible. Build something that people can actually use. No unnecessary layers. No overcomplication. Just systems that support decisions, and hold up over time.
